Binkies

Binkies are remarkable lateral jumps that rabbits make out of of sheer joy. Sometimes rabbits will jump straight  up into the air and do some twits and turns and other times they will not hop quite so high and turn in the air so they are facing the opposite way! These hops are especially cute when rabbits do a number of them in a row.

Mini Lop

Mini lops are the third smallest lop: they weigh about 5-6 lbs. when they are fully grown.  Mini Lops and French Lops look almost the same but the mini lop is much smaller. Mini Lops make great pets but you can't have them hoping around the house with no supervision because they will chew on basically everything!  You will need to provide a a large cage if you are considering getting a mini lop. One great characteristic of the Mini Lop is that they are very friendly and can make friends with other pets very quickly.  You will have lots of time to get to know your fury friend because they can live up to ten years of age.

English Lops

English Lops are the second biggest type of lop: they weigh about 9-10 lbs. when they are full grown. One unique characteristic of the English Lop is that their ears can grow up to 70cms!!! English Lops make great pets, but they cannot go outside do to their long ears because if they drag their ears through puddles they can get frostbite. They need a relitivly large cage so that they can move around freely. The average lifespan for English Lops is about 5 years or more.

French Lops

French Lops are the biggest type of lop: they grow to about 10 1/2 lbs. or more! They were developed  in France by cross breeding Flemish Giants and English lops. One main difference between these big bunnies and English Lops is their ear size: French Lops ears are much smaller. All lops make good pets because they are usually calm, gentle and affectionate. One downside to keeping French Lops as pets is that they need a cage at least 6 sq. feet for only one bunny! Their average lifespan is about 5 years or more.
